for my last hols trip, i think i enjoyed it more than those that i went for in the recent years. i know i was less bitchy and in a bad mood.. i just was pretty determined to try to enjoy the hols more. hanging out with my uncles and aunties (fathers sibings) was fun. didnt expect it really. they are fun bunch, a bit 'crazy' at times.. both my uncles are more 'loose' than me, they are not afraid to go up on the stage and sing or dance.. they were having a good time, which is good. its also nice to listen to them when they are telling stories, all info that i dont have knowledge of. anyway, the places are nice, not great.
turkey, istanbul to be more exact is quite beautiful.. there is this higpoint where you can see countrys land seperated by body of water and the houses on one side of the land.. nice.. we went to a belly dance show, they sure can shake it man.. body is damn good too..
egypt is a poor country but rich with history. it reminds me of jakarta with how messy the city is. the pyramid is HUGE! the pyramid is made of huge cubes stack on top of another, these cubes are abt 3/4 my size and i have no idea how many levels are there.. had a chance to get down one of the pyramids, found nothing at the bottom, came up sweating like a dog and legs feel like jelly. the hole/passage way was not big at all, have to crouch, squat walk.. that is tough. when you buy things, let you know that the sales people are agrresive, they are like Oz flies, stick to you like a glue.. irritating.. good to go when you have kids, can fill them with stories of egypts hist.
athens, greece was the most developed among the countries that i went. their currency is also the most damaging to my paretns pocket. it has v.gd potential to be a romantic getaway for any of you.. really, loads of places where there can be potential moments. prob the easiest to get around too.. if anyone of you is going there, dont miss this isalnd called santorini, its abt a day ferrry trip from athens,, most of the buildings there are painted white with blue roofs/windows.. really pretty.. loads of photos/posters uses the buildings/view as the artpiece.. my younger bro bought a small painting of tt island.. sadly, i didnt go there, wasnt part of the itenary..
